About the Group

photoThe idea for the group is based on the famous radio programme. Group members are asked to bring along a recording of a favourite disc and are invited to briefly share with the group why it’s special to them.

They say that variety is the spice of life and on that basis the music will be as varied as the discs that you bring along.
Desert Island Discs was established in the spring of 2013 by Godfrey Kent. The group is now established, providing a relaxed and convivial atmosphere for people to listen to a variety of music as chosen by all the members".

A special welcome awaits new members, so come along and dip your toes into the melodiously warm water that is Desert Island Discs.

The group meets between 2pm and 4pm at the Methodist Church Hall on the second Monday of the month.
